Official Government Reaction in Trinidad and Tobago to Venezuelan unrest
Venezuela has been in turmoil today due to the call by Juan Guido to the military and people of Venezuela to support him. He issued his statement via a video on Twitter.
En el marco de nuestra constitución. Y por el cese definitivo de la usurpación. https://t.co/3RD2bnQhxt

The Government of Trinidad and Tobago via Stuart Young, Minister of National Security, Trinidad and Tobago issued their official statement of continued non-interference.
The text of the statement is as follows
It has been reported that certain elements of the Venezuelan military have indicated support for Mr, Juan Guido and that support has resulted in disturbances in Venezuela.
Trinidad and Tobago maintains its principled position of non-interference and non-intervention in the internal affairs of Venezuela and hopes that the Venezuelan people will resolve their affairs peacefully.
I advise that the relevant Divisions of the Ministry of National Security have been working together and have been focused on securing our borders and we will continue to do so.
Stuart R. Young M.P.
Minister of National Security
