Nikkiland 2019 – Cancelled

My Trini Lime was sad to see that Nikkiland 2019 was cancelled by its main organizer Nikki Crosby. Nikkiland has been a part of the Carnival landscape for many years but this year it was difficult to get the funding that is necessary to carry out an event like Nikkiland. The event was supposed to take place on Saturday February 10 2019.

It’s with a saddened heart that aunty Nikki has to cancel Nikkiland 2019. Every year it is always my pleasure to host our children and their parents, with the objective always being for the next generation to love and appreciate our artistes and our culture. This year because of the financial situation of some of our sponsors, it has been very difficult to secure any financial sponsorship. Due to this we are unable to bear the full cost of hosting the event whilst providing the same quality that our patrons know and enjoy. I thank all my sponsors and the amazing artistes that already committed to Nikkiland, but we will work on another Nikkiland project soon. Have a safe carnival and see you soon!
