The Mighty Shadow has passed away.

 

The Mighty Shadow, one of Trinidad and Tobago’s greatest calypsonians, has died. He was 77 years old. Shadow, whose real name was Winston Bailey, suffered a stroke on Sunday 21st and died today 23rd October at hospital according to CNC3 News. He will long remembered for his infectious hits such as:

• “Bassman”
• “I Come Out to Play”
• “Treat Me Nice”
• “Tension”
• “The Garden Want Water”
• “Feeling the Feeling”
• “Dingolay”
• “Pay De Devil”
• “Poverty Is Hell”
• “Stranger”
