King and Queen of Carnival 2018 Crowned Sunday Night

The King and Queen of Carnival with their gorgeous  costumes were crowned at Dimanche Gras on Sunday night.  Ten Kings and ten queens vied for the title.  The King and Queen who were crowned could both be considered underdogs as the King placed 5th in preliminaries and the Queen placed seventh.

King of Carnival 2018 is EARL THOMPSON – DEATH AND THE MAIDEN THE FANCY KING SAILOR PLAYS PEGASUS (425 points)

Queen of Carnival 2018 is ROXANNE OMALO – “LILITH” MISTRESS OF THE ETERNALLY DAMMED (424 points)

The King of Carnival was designed by Minshall for the band Eyes of God. Minshall’s costumes ared always a crowd favorite!! The costume was captured in the photos below by Maria Nunes.
