George Maxwell Richards has passed away

The My Trini Lime Family offers condolences to the family of former President, Professor George Maxwell Richards, who passed away today. According to reports he suffered a heart attack today and passed away this afternoon.

He was born on December 1, 1933. He served as the fourth President of Trinidad and Tobago from 2003 to 2013. He was a regular party goer and his fete “Maxwell and Friends”, took place for many years each Carnival season.

We are thankful for the years that he served this country. May he Rest In Peace.

The national flag is to be flown at half mast on Tuesday 9 January 2018 and on the day of his funeral.
